Youth Group

In 2019, St. Luke’s began a youth group partnership with First Presbyterian Church in Jamestown. Combining the acronyms of St. Luke’s Youth Group (SLY) and Presbyterian Youth Group (PYG), the youth group is known as SLY PYG.
Our mission is to provide a safe community where youth feel unconditionally loved while empowering youth to embody Jesus’ teachings in their lives. SLY PYG offers a variety of ways to connect with God and each other through weekly groups as well as camp retreats and summer trips. At SLY PYG, youth learn experientially: through play, service, worship, and leadership throughout the year.
All youth in 7th through 12th grades are invited to participate in this program, regardless of school district, faith background (or none at all), gender identity, or sexual orientation.
SLY PYG meets on Sunday evenings, from September through May, from 6:00-7:30 pm, with the gathering location alternating between St. Luke’s and First Presbyterian Churches each month.
For the 2022-2023 school year, SLY PYG will begin gathering on September 18th, from 6-7:30 pm, at St. Luke's. We will meet at St. Luke's for the month of September and gather at First Presbyterian Church in October.
