The Journey’s End WNY Refugee Film Festival is proud to present three short docs by refugee and displaced teens from Colombia, Ukraine, and Syria: Displaced But Not Defeated, Return Date: Unknown, and Out Of Aleppo. Maria, a displaced teen from Colombia due to decades-long civil war and gang violence that took the life of her father, uses her film as an activist tool to fight poverty and racism. Tymur, a refugee from Ukraine, shares his view on the cost of war and the price of the world’s dependence on fossil fuels. Mohammad fled Syria to Berlin, and hopes he gives a voice to all refugees by exploring themes of loss, art, and hope in his film. Perfect for teens and adults!
