Solidarity Walk for Gaza Ceasefire

St. Luke’s is organizing a solidarity walk with calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. We will gather at the Lakeside Park in Mayville, NY (50 W Lake Rd – by the playground) at 7 am on May 4, departing at 7:30 sharp, in order to walk 22 miles along Chautauqua Lake – walking nearly the equivalent of the length of Gaza – to raise awareness of and solidarity with the people of Gaza. The group will arrive at St. Luke’s by 5 pm. The day’s activities will conclude with interfaith prayers and reflection.

The walk will include breaks for food, water, and rest. People of diverse ages and abilities are welcome to get involved:

• Participants are welcome to walk (there will be a support vehicle available for folks who are not able to walk the entire trip),
• offer support (water or food at rest stops, etc.)
• We are also collecting donations in support of the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem (https://tinyurl.com/GazaWalk; select “Gaza Relief” in the drop down menu.)
