Not the Only Girl at the Table

Catch a rare concert titled “Not the Only Girl at the Table” by Peterson & Petersen on Friday, November 20th @ 7:00 pm in the Church. The title of this program is an allusion to Carmel Dean’s tongue-and-cheek take on Mary Magdalene’s experience during the Last Supper. Returning artists Sharon Peterson (piano & organ, North Park & Northwestern Universities, Roosevelt University, Chicago Chapter AGO) and Katherine Petersen (voice, Northeaster Illinois University, Westminster Choir College, Lyric Opera Chicago, Decho Ensemble), chose the program for this piano, organ, and vocal program as an homage to the women artists and composers who have blessed the performers with guidance, encouragement, and love along their journeys. Featuring music by Price, Dean, Mahler, and more, this cross section of over two centuries of music with works by thirteen different composers spanning three continents will following the influences of history through the voices and passions of these composers.
