On this 52nd Earth Day, we are honoring former Jamestown mayor Stan Lundin and his celebration of our Earth with a compost giveaway!
In 1970, for the nations first recognized Earth Day the city of Jamestown dropped a large pile of sand along Third Street to bring awareness to air pollution.
This Earth Day we will be placing a large pile of soil, courtesy of Slab City Organics, that is perfect for your flower or garden beds!
First come, first serve! Come get a bag of fresh compost! Donations are appreciated.
This will be in tandem with our GROW Jamestown Garden Fair event and begin along Third Street between Cherry and N Main streets starting at 10 AM.
