Eat Fresh, Do Good CSA
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an opportunity to invest in a farmer’s growing season by buying a “share” of the produce in advance of the growing season and receiving dividends weekly throughout the summer and fall.
St. Luke’s Eat Fresh, Do Good CSA supports the Jamestown Mobile Market. A portion of the CSA’s charge will fund the purchase of produce brought into neighborhoods without access to fresh, locally- grown produce. In this way, CSA members and Mobile Market customers are part of the same self-sustaining system, eating together at the same imaginary table.
The program also brings together adults, youth, and children from St. Luke’s to volunteer during the growing season, sorting and packing CSA shares for members.
