SUMMARY:Memories of Ron McEntire in Music
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by the Mozart Club of Jamestown and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church\, organist Judy Congdon will present an organ concert on Friday\, May 2 at 6:30pm at St. Luke’s Church entitled “Memories of Ron McEntire in Music.” Ron McEntire (1949-2023)\, a talented musician and exceptional human being\, served during his final years as Organist/Director of Music at St. Luke’s Church. Dr. Congdon was Ron’s organ teacher at Houghton University as he fulfilled a lifelong dream of completing a Master of Music degree in organ following retirement from his career in financial services. The program will include works by J. S. Bach and Cesar Franck that Ron played during his final decade\, along with works by several American composers that capture aspects of Ron’s life and ministry. \nA free will offering at the concert will help cover concert expenses.

Found guilty of reckless driving\, Ross is ordered to spend the next six months making weekly visits to Mr. Green. What starts off as a comedy about two people who resent being in the same room together develops into drama\, as family secrets are revealed and old wounds are opened. \nPerformances will be on May 15th\, 16th\, and 17th at 7 pm in St. Luke’s Undercroft (enter through the doors on 4th & Main St; handicap accessibility through door on 4th & Potters Alley). Tickets are $10 and available at the door\, from any member of the cast and crew\, or by calling the church office at: 716-483-6405. \nProceeds from the play will assist local seniors in gaining access to fresh\, nutritious and local produce\, through the Jamestown Farmers Market work with the Office for the Aging\, as a contractor for the Local Roots program and as a redemption site for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.

If you would like to be a confirmed member in the Episcopal Church\, please contact the Rector and let him know. Confirmation is not required for membership at St. Luke’s—if you show up more than a couple times we consider you a member!
