DESCRIPTION:Our next foray into the forest to find and root our faith is on Saturday\, July 13 at 10am. We’ll be gathering at the Chautauqua Watershed Preserve\, Dobbins Woods (located at 5291 Bly Hill Rd\, in Ashville). \nAll ages are welcome to attend and we will gather for about 90 minutes or so. There are approximately 5 parking spaces\, so we may attempt to carpool. Please contact the Rector (Luke.Fodor@stlukesjamestown.org) with questions and to confirm your interest.

DESCRIPTION:Event Information \nDate: July 21\, 2024 \nTime: 3 pm – 5 pm \nLocation: The Undercroft (basement) of St. Luke’s at 410 N Main St\, Jamestown\, NY \nParking: Church parking lot on Main St. & street parking is free on Sundays \nClothing: Wear clothes that can get dirty\, muddy\, and/or stained. \n\nOur Empty Bowls Hand Building Class is offered for free to help local potters from the Chautauqua Area Potters building bowls for Grow Jamestown & The Jamestown Public Market’s Empty Bowls Fundraiser in December. This class has a max of 20 people and pre-registration is required-register using this link. \nAfter 20 people\, there will have a waitlist. Within 24 hours of the event\, if a spot becomes available\, people on the waitlist will be contacted in chronological order of registration. \nThere may the possibility of choosing one bowl you make to be tracked through the firing process that will be set aside specifically for you that will be available for purchase before the December fundraiser. More details will be available at the class.

DESCRIPTION:Danielle Bernas\, the Director for Jewish Family Services’ Refugee & Immigrant Center for Healing in Buffalo will be joining the New Neighbors Coalition of Jamestown on Wednesday\, July 31st from 5-6:30pm in the St. Luke’s Undercroft\, for the first in a 3-part training opportunity. The class will be focus on approaching immigrant-related volunteer work through a trauma-informed lens. However\, as our community continues to do this work in welcoming new arrivals\, we can all benefit from being more informed. This event is being offered at no cost thanks to the generosity of Jewish Family Services.
