DESCRIPTION:St. Luke’s will be hosting a regional confirmation service on Sunday\, May 18th at 3pm\, when visiting Bishop Eugene Sutton comes to offer sacramental affirmation to those looking to recommit themselves to the faith or to publicly associate with the Episcopal Church. If you would like to be a confirmed member in the Episcopal Church\, please contact the Rector and let him know. Confirmation is not required for membership at St. Luke’s—if you show up more than a couple times we consider you a member!

SUMMARY:Visiting Mr. Green
DESCRIPTION:Visiting Mr. Green is a stage play by American author Jeff Baron that has been performed around the world—including now in Jamestown\, by St. Luke’s drama troupe\, the Winged Ox Players!\nEighty-six-year-old widower Mr. Green is almost hit by a car driven by young corporate executive Ross Gardiner. Found guilty of reckless driving\, Ross is ordered to spend the next six months making weekly visits to Mr. Green. What starts off as a comedy about two people who resent being in the same room together develops into drama\, as family secrets are revealed and old wounds are opened. \nPerformances will be on May 15th\, 16th\, and 17th at 7 pm in St. Luke’s Undercroft (enter through the doors on 4th & Main St; handicap accessibility through door on 4th & Potters Alley). Tickets are $10 and available at the door\, from any member of the cast and crew\, or by calling the church office at: 716-483-6405. \nProceeds from the play will assist local seniors in gaining access to fresh\, nutritious and local produce\, through the Jamestown Farmers Market work with the Office for the Aging\, as a contractor for the Local Roots program and as a redemption site for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program
