DESCRIPTION:On this 52nd Earth Day\, we are honoring former Jamestown mayor Stan Lundin and his celebration of our Earth with a compost giveaway!\n\nIn 1970\, for the nations first recognized Earth Day the city of Jamestown dropped a large pile of sand along Third Street to bring awareness to air pollution.\n\nThis Earth Day we will be placing a large pile of soil\, courtesy of Slab City Organics\, that is perfect for your flower or garden beds!\n\nFirst come\, first serve! Come get a bag of fresh compost! Donations are appreciated.\n\nThis will be in tandem with our GROW Jamestown Garden Fair event and begin along Third Street between Cherry and N Main streets starting at 10 AM.
