St. Luke’s is a vibrant and inclusive church, a congregation of prayer, celebration, and ministry, and a beautiful place to sit listen to our bells and give thanks to God. The Winged Ox Players, a local theatre company sponsored by St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, will hold auditions for its fall production, “The Death and Life of Everyman: A Comedy” by Patrick Rainville Dorn on Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00pm at St. Luke’s, 410 North Main Street, Jamestown. The play is a contemporary and comedic interpretation of the allegorical story of a man who learns he must prepare to meet his maker, before the play that he is in ends. As his doom approaches, Everyman discovers that family, friends and fortune cannot accompany him, and that even strength, beauty, intellect and emotion are no match for the Grim Reaper. The show, which will be directed by Daniel Pierce and Marge Fiore will be performed in late September at the Willow Bay Theatre. Several roles are available for men and women ages 20 to 60. Cast members do not need to be members of St. Luke’s to be a part of the show. The Winged Ox Players functions as an outreach ministry for St. Luke’s. Founded as a means to utilize the artistic talents of the parish and the greater community, the group presents plays that deliver a thought-provoking spiritual message while raising funds to support local charities. A portion of this productions proceeds will be donated to Hospice Chautauqua County. For more information contact Pierce at 716-969-7412 or...Read More

Worship is central to the rhythm of our life together, and we seek to make it a joyful expression of Anglican tradition. All of our regular weekly worship services include Holy Communion. Children of all ages are welcome at all services. Young people are encouraged to take an active role as acolytes, readers and musicians. Parishioners greet each other in a lively and friendly manner during the Exchange of the Peace, and Baptisms are usually celebrated as an entire congregation. Although worship service times and styles are altered occasionally, outside of special services, we follow a regular weekly schedule of worship that for most parishioners revolves around weekends.

Join us this Palm Sunday at 8:00am or 10:00 am to celebrate Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem, to witness his passion and stay for Hot Cross buns at Coffee Hour.
After a year of silence and months of work, the tower turrets have all been repaired, the electrical system is fixed, and new illuminated clock faces are installed. So…its time to celebrate! Join us for a festive evensong with special music and a blessing of the bells.
The Youth Program at St. Luke’s is expanding and we’re looking for two young adult interns to help with youth ministry for the 2014-15 academic year.
